Four ways to make a password

Padlock explores several approaches to password generation: random character
strings, dictionary-word passphrases, pronounceable pseudowords, and passphrases
assembled from pseudowords. Length and character options let you adjust the
output, with a button to copy the result.

The same input accepts an existing password and shows an estimated strength and
cracking time. Those figures come from zxcvbn and are estimates rather than
guarantees.


Built for the browser

The interface uses HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Generation happens
locally, with a random-number polyfill and a pronounceable-word generator
supporting the different methods. No account is required.
