F.R.I.D.A.Y
A modular Python desktop assistant whose commands live in individual skills. Includes coin tosses, dice rolls, date and time, and a magic 8-ball.
Python
An assistant assembled from skills
F.R.I.D.A.Y is an experiment in building a desktop assistant out of replaceable components. Its skill-based response engine matches user commands to Python classes that inherit from a shared Skill class.
The included skills handle coin tosses, dice rolls, date and time questions, and magic 8-ball responses. New behaviors can be added as skill files plugged into the core assistant.
A small core to build on
The repository provides a console driver for running the assistant in a terminal. The emphasis is on the plugin architecture and command handling, with separate response engines that can be extended independently. It is written in Python and released under AGPLv3.
